By the time I entered college, I realized that I wanted to have a career that focused on helping others.  As a Physical Education major at San Diego State University, I was exposed to multiple science classes that focused on the human body.  It was my desire to intimately understand how the human body worked.  This combined with my wish to help others led me to Physical Therapy as a career.

After finishing my Bachelors Degree as SDSU, I entered the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at USC.  In 1999 I graduated and began working as an outpatient physical therapist at Gaspar Physical Therapy in Encinitas, CA.  In my 18.5 years at Gaspar, I progressed from a staff therapist to a profit sharer, and then to a managing partner and clinical director.  During those years I honed my patient care and clinical skills by treating patients full time, performing roughly 10,000 patient evaluations, taking over 300 hours of continuing education classes, and becoming a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist in 2008.

In addition to working as a PT, I played multiple team sports growing up and played basketball competitively in high school and in college. Over the years I have also been active in many individual sports, including tennis, golf, surfing, and snow skiing.  My athletic background has significantly enhanced my ability to rehab athletes from a variety of sports and to maximize their athletic performance.

In my free time I love spending time with my wife and two children.  I am still active 6 days a week either working out (low impact cardio and weight training), surfing, or snow skiing.
